Choose this if you are looking to get help for acute/chronic pain, sports injuries, TMJ pain, headaches, migraines, complex trauma, psychosomatic involvement where complex pain could be because of mental health challenges or just looking to experience John Barnes Myofascial Release Approach.

Myofascial Release is a safe and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

The use of Myofascial Release allows the therapist to look at each patient as a unique individual. It is a combination of a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. The importance is given to promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.

Hands-On Treatment
Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.

Please bring shorts, tank tops/sports bra along for the session.

Craniosacral Therapy works with the craniosacral system—the membranes, bones, cerebrospinal fluid, and connective tissues that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Craniosacral Approach:
• Recognizes the body as intelligent and self-correcting
• Works not only with physical restrictions, but also with emotional, neurological, and developmental patterns
• Uses gentle, precise touch combined with deep listening and presence
• Allows healing to unfold by following the body’s priorities rather than imposing techniques

It is believed that unresolved physical or emotional experiences—especially early life or trauma—can be held in tissues and the nervous system. By creating safety and awareness, the body is able to release, reorganize, and integrate these patterns naturally.

What a Patient Might Experience

Patients commonly report
• Deep relaxation or a meditative state
• A sense of calm, clarity, or emotional release
• Reduced pain or pressure (head, neck, jaw, pelvis)
• Improved sleep, balance, or nervous system regulation
• Feeling more connected and present in their body

Sessions are usually done fully clothed, with the therapist’s hands resting lightly on areas such as the head, sacrum, spine, or areas of restriction.
